Taupo Supervolcano Alert Level Raised for the First Time
The super volcano known as Lake Taupo in New Zealand has just had its alert level raised for the first time on record. This change was made in response to several hundred small earthquakes detected in the eastern section of the lake. This is indicative of magma and hydrothermal movements beneath the earth’s crust.
