5.7 Taupo quake and aftermath

A 5.7 quake struck Taupo on October 14, 2022. Two months on, there have been more than 680 aftershocks and 30 landslides. Even a small beach  vanished into the lake. Scientists are still studying the effects of that earthquake to understand what is going on in one of the world’s largest super volcanoes.
